Aashadi Ekadashi

The state of Maharashtra is celebrating Aashadi Ekadashi today. Though we are stuck for 103 days of lockdown, today people of Maharashtra still feels the same devotion and spiritual enlightment. People from many places walk barefoot and reach the land of Vitthal (incarnation of Vishnu) which is Pandharpur. Pandharpur is known to be the land of devotees. Pandharpur was once upon a time a land of wealthy farmers and joyous people. They were ruled under a great and blessed king Mandata. When all was well happening in the kingdom famine stuck straight for 3 years. Many people lost their lives, their families, their houses, their lands. This was the downfall of the kingdom and healthy wealthy people. They worshipped lord Vitthal. Another story that says,in ancient times, war took place between Deities and Demons. Mrudumanya, son of demon Kumbha  won the boon of immortality from Deity Shiva through penance. As a result, he became unconquerable for Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv. Fearing h...

UNKNOWN FACT 2

🙏Fact known, According to Shiv Puranas, once Brahma (the god of creation) and Vishnu (the form of God during Preservation) had an argument over supremacy of creation. To settle the debate, Supreme God Shiva pierced the three worlds appearing as a huge Infinite Pillar of Light, the Jyotirlinga which later cooled into the Holy Mountain Annamalai. Vishnu and Brahma split their ways to downwards and upwards respectively to find the end of the light in either directions. Brahma lied that he found out the end, while Vishnu conceded his defeat. This lie of Brahma angered Shiva making him curse Brahma that even though he is the creator of the universe he would not be worshipped. The jyotirlinga is the Supreme Shiva, partless reality, out of which Shiva appeared in another Form, Lingodbhava. The jyothirlinga shrines are Temples where Shiva appeared as a fiery column of light. 💥It's time to know about the second story of Jyotirlings situated in India. After gujarat let's vi...

UNKNOWN FACTS 1

I felt the need of writing this blog since we are quarantined for approximately 86 days. Two things have definately felt by everyone. First, we have started introspecting ourselves and others and second, of having spiritual mindset. We have started believing in power not just to be safe from COVID-19 but to understand how spiritually our mind be in peace. Have you ever wondered the stories of twelve Jyotirlings of Lord Shiva? So, I decided to spread positive thoughts and highlight, some goodreads on it. For 12 consecutive days I ll narrate one story based on jyotirling. Let us start with the 1st one. Any Guesses? India is a land of Gods and Lord Shiva is the most revered Gods by Hindus all across the world. Worshipped in the form of Shivlinga, Lord Shiva is believed to bless all his true devotees with salvation. The twelve Jyotirlingas also called the ‘Dwadash Jyotirlingas’ are considered to be the holiest of all shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and according to the beliefs of Hind...

love of my life...

A man who is gentle but stern for world outside. A man I see sacrificed but never let me do the same A man I admire helped me see whole world. A man that showers love built me to fight for good. A man I know waked hundred miles but provided me a flowery path with grace A man mastered nothing still pushes me to the deepest core A man who was sleepless comforted me to bed A man will do everything again all over Without judging and thinking twice. He is the love of my life my hero, my father. All over world we celebrated International Father's day. Celebration for a man who donot believe in it. He is way simple, delicate, emotional when it comes to his children. His love can be never ending. His lessons are overwelming. His approach is always positive. Daughters are his princess always. Every tear of my eyes shows emotions of love. I still remember I had to struggle a lot to wake up early since I am not a morning person. Life always commanded me for early rising.I remember when I was...

IT WORKS..

Bollywood and their fans are in shock today. We have been watching movies and learning a lot from them. Movies are the great source of imagination. 'Catharsis', a literary term which means 'purging of emotional feelings'. This term was initially used when audience use to watch plays now it has replaced with movies but the meaning remains the same. The shocking news that we recieved today was the suicidal attempt of Sushant Singh Rajput. Recently, everyone enjoyed the movie called, CHHICHHORE that taught us tags are just for fun, we need to win ourselves by hardwork and support. It also taught us, we cannot predict our future but accepting success and failure with all our heart is important. Failure and success go hand in hand. We cannot achieve success till we have tasted failure at least once. We all should know that is not easy to overcome failure but its not the end_ Picture abhi baki hai mere dost. Sharukh Khan in his movie, OM SHANTI OM, stated the above line. The ...

Two S's

Shattered heart, still stands bother others, just for fun. broken but full of soul. always impatient, forcingly wait. head ahead in row of respect help others coz know how depressed. I believe the poem itself narrates all. The two S's Shatter and Stand contradict each other. We in ourselves have these two S's. All of it depends on how brave are we to behold ourselves. Things said, unsaid are always subconsiously in our mind. If not now it'll be someday when you speak. There might be be two options again, scatter or stand or the third S' Silence. For all of these years, I never thought silence could be so mesmerisig. We keep seeing changes in us but neglect. The process of neglecting something is so difficult that we get use to it. Silence not because you cannot stand but to keep ourselves peaceful. Bhagwat Gita rightly says: Among punishments I am the rod of chastisement, and of those who seek victory, I am morality. Of secret things I am silence, and of the wise I am ...

Strange Followings

We can read as many books as we want but still we lack in knowing the culture and tradition of tribals. They have some strange and unsual culture. They follow it quite proudly. Africa is filled with fascinating secrets. Four strange and interesting facts: Virginity Test: Locally known as UMHALANGA. Virginity test is the popular in South Africa. We can usually find performing it in ZULU tribes of the KHWAZULA province. The tester opens girl's Vagina with both his hands apparently to check her hymen is intact. If so, a virginity certificate is provided. Wife Stealing: This is an annual ritual practise by WODAABE tribes. A sub group of Fulani ethnic tribe. Women are allowed to have as many husbands she wish. They are allowed to pick their preffered men from a group who do speculation hoping dance to get selected.Women can have sex with any men she pleases before settling on a right one. Potency test: This practise is carried on by BANYANKOLE tribe in UGANDA. It is practise similar to ...

once upon a time...new lesson learnt

A random thought today that took place in my mind. We live in a world of beautiful thoughts. Everyone here is equally creative. Few happen to show it, some are lacking this quality of protrayal. When we enter in a new phase of our life , we tend to feel unsatisfied with ourselves and with others. We forget the word - Acceptance. The process of the word Acceptance is very slow. It sometimes test our patience. Awareness and sense of reponsibility is lost. We find ourselves in dilemma. Right and wrong can never be understood. It creates danger. Obsession becomes root cause of destruction. The movie_ Fashion, casted Priyanka Chopra and kangana ranaut. We have seen the lifes of both the celebs in the movie. The movie had finely demonstrated reality of self obsession. It first took away Kangana in its trap. She being one of the famous show stopper was terminated for which she took it wrongly. The actions seen are the best example of self obsession. Following the same footsteps, Priyanka put...

Acceptance is bliss...

I am a man, I desire only one woman. I am a woman, I desire only one man. I am a man, I desire only one man. I am a woman, I desire only one woman. I am neither male nor female. I am both male and female. I am firm and flexible. I am aware and I am not. To appreciate this fluidity of nature And the shifting rigidities of culture I to appreciate queerness. Hindu Mythology reveals that patriarchy, the idea that men are superior to women, was invented. The epic, Mahabharata, for example, refers to a time when there was no concept of marriage. Men and women were free to go to anyone, untill it became important to establish fatherhood ( this son is mine), for which ownership and fidelity became critical ( she is the field for my seed). Fatherhood became important became property became important. Hindu Mythology also make constant reference of queerness, the idea that questions maleness and femaleness. There are stories of men who became women, and women who became men, of men who create chi...

I Promise to...

Happy Environment’s Day everyone! It's 5th June, 2020 and we are living in 21st century. Generations has observed the changes in their lifestyle. Ironically, no one ever thought if environment starts showing tantrums we are finish.   From last 76 days we are been lock down #quarantine due to COVID19. It is quite understood how we behave with someone and try to misuse it, we'll be reciprocated with the same or worse. This lock down broke many people not only mentally but also emotionally and physically. With this i recollect a poem that shook my soul. In 2005, July 26 whole of India is aware of Mumbai floods. Few months ago, before the flood, a writer wrote a poem narrating about 'MEETHI' river . He clearly referred it as a dirty, filthy, of no use etc. everyone had the same mindset for the river. The river was brutally abused and lost all herself respect. We in India pray and admire rivers to be goddess but here a man who points her out and made her look like...

This day in History

4th June, 1957. E.M.Foster demonstrated the masterpiece to the world. A passage to India , a book that was listed as 'All time 100 novels' by times magazine. He wrote it to share experiences of his visit to India. A well set novel that potrays 'Indianess', 'class discrimination', 'racism', 'romance', 'betrayal', 'superiority'. A passage to India, that boils up history of britishers on indian land. He has forged a relationship between a british school teacher and a muslim doctor which is still unique and shows newness when the novel is read. The traditional waves that flows reaches to the end where Aziz the physician declares that he and Fielding cannot be friends till the time India attends its independence. Respect- as a word is quite famous in the aura of indians. The belief of been seen as a disrespectedly is a real murder of thier inner self. Today apro aching as 100 years of its composition, is 'dated' as the finest...
